How long does it take to charge an electric car?

Charging times depend on the power source:

• Home wall socket: Charging times are slower and often require an overnight charge.
• Wallbox charger: A Wallbox typically takes six to 10 hours for a full charge (though it can be as little as 3.5 hours, depending on your outlet).
• DC fast charger: Fast chargers can add significant range in as little as 20–30 minutes.

How much does it cost to charge an electric car?

How long do electric car batteries last?

Modern electric car batteries are built to last for many years. With Mercedes-Benz, you’ll get a standard warranty of eight years or more, with batteries designed to retain the majority of their capacity well past the warranty end-date period.
 

Do electric cars need servicing?

Yes – but with fewer moving parts, no engine oil and reduced brake wear (thanks to regenerative braking), maintenance requirements are typically less onerous than conventional vehicles. That said, they still require maintenance every 12 months to ensure everything is running smoothly and safely.
