SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. SUVs combine elements of road-only cars with features from off-road vehicles, such as greater ground clearance and a raised roofline. SUVs are generally roomier and more versatile than conventional passenger vehicles and combine the best elements of a car and a utility vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz SUVs range from the compact GLA SUV through to the rugged G-Class, so there is a wide range of variation between our SUV models. Our SUVs differ in their size, seating capacity, off-road capabilities and equipment levels. Furthermore there are also our all-electric SUVs from the compact EQA to the luxurious EQS SUV.

Deciding on the right Mercedes-Benz depends on what your needs and lifestyle are. If you have a smaller family, you may find that the compact GLA or EQA are best suited for your needs. If you often need to carry more people and cargo, the spacious GLB or EQB might be a good fit. If you like a car with sportier characteristics, the GLC, GLE or EQE could be right for you. If you’re interested in a larger SUV, we would recommend looking at the GLS or EQS. Or finally if you’re looking for a rugged and capable SUV, look no further than the legendary G-Class.

With an SUV, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits compared to a car. SUVs have more space to carry passengers and cargo, and with higher ground clearance you’ll be able to go more places. You’ll have more visibility with your higher seating position too. An SUV can typically carry heavier and larger loads than a car too, and many people find an SUV more comfortable and confidence-inspiring to drive.

When considering an SUV, think about what you’re planning to use it for and the levels of safety, comfort and performance that it offers. For example, if you anticipate carrying several passengers often, you may want to opt for an SUV with more seating, like the GLS or GLB with optional 7 seat configurations. Another consideration may be the environment you’re going to be driving in most of the time. If you live in a densely populated area for example, you may want a compact SUV like the GLA SUV so it’s easier to navigate cramped streets and parking.
