History

Cabriolets from Mercedes-Benz: traditionally innovative.

Constant evolution has been a feature of the history of the Mercedes-Benz cabriolets. "Cabriolet" originally meant a light, open carriage drawn by two horses. From about 1920 onwards, the term was used to refer to sporty vehicles with an open top. Daimler-Benz then developed the cabriolet types A to F: the predecessors of the current Mercedes-Benz cabriolets. Since then, they have become synonymous with elegant sports performance and outstanding weather protection.
