The AMG exhaust system is another statement of performance at the rear and also highlights the sporty nature of the new model. Particularly characteristic are the two angular, high-gloss black chrome dual-end pipe trims, which also have unmistakeable fluting.

The new generation of AMG steering wheels in nappa leather have optimum ergonomics for sporty driving manoeuvres. The steering wheels feature a striking 3-spoke design, have a flattened bottom section, and are equipped with Touch Control buttons and aluminium shift paddles. As a finishing touch, the steering wheel bezel boasts the charismatic "AMG" lettering.

The instrument cluster user interface with high-resolution displays is all new and features an AMG-specific design. In addition it is possible to select content such as the RACETIMER, the AMG Start-up menu or the four different display styles: "Classic", "Sport", "Subtle" and AMG-specific "Supersport".

At the heart of the hallmark AMG driving dynamics is the electrified 3.0-litre engine with twin turbochargers and an electric additional compressor. The 6-cylinder in-line engine has an output of 320 kW (435 hp) and peak torque of 520 Nm. Its EQ Boost starter-alternator temporarily delivers an additional 16 kW (22 hp) of output and 250 Nm of torque, and it also feeds the 48-volt on-board electrical system.

The AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL specifically compensates for rolling movements and optimises lateral dynamics during dynamic driving manoeuvres. This results in more precision and agility as well as the hallmark AMG driving experience.

The agile AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive features signature AMG power distribution – for direct response and fully variable torque distribution between front and rear axle. The result: no loss in traction, even when driving dynamically at the limit.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G 9-speed transmission, with particularly short shift times and double-declutching function when downshifting (depending on the selected drive program), awaits your commands.

The 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive catapult the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupé to a whole new level. The result: 450 kW of power with torque of up to 850 Nm. The integrated starter-alternator not only provides additional thrust, it also recuperates braking energy. A modern 48 volt on-board electrical system reliably provides energy and the additional compressor supplies torque from just above idle speed.

The intelligent AMG DYNAMIC control electronics form the basis for the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs and ensure a highly variable driving experience – from moderate through sporty to ultra-dynamic. The driver selects either the desired pre-configured program via the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT switch or sets up the vehicle configuration himself/herself using the "Individual" program.

The new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S comes with AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension as standard, which adjusts specifically to offset body movements in every driving situation.
