For drivers who crave a thrilling blend of style, power and performance, the arrival of the second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé is a moment to pause and savour.

Combining dynamic driving features with cleverly designed sports car architecture,  the all new AMG GT 63 Coupé is equipped with a four-litre V8 biturbo engine – which delivers extra power (430kW) and torque (maximum 800Nm) – and is capable of a 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds.

But the duality of this vehicle is what truly sets it apart. It balances everyday driving and exceptional sports car performance – a sleek supercar that's as comfortable cruising on the freeway as it is carving up a mountain pass, a technological tour de force wrapped in a classically designed body. Most of all, it's a driving experience that engages all the senses, leaving you exhilarated and hungry for more.

Athletic stance

The first thing to notice about the new two-door coupé is its powerful silhouette. A long wheelbase, short overhangs and a steeply raked windscreen achieve perfectly balanced proportions, while its deep, wide, custom AMG radiator grille, expressive power domes and high wheel arches command attention.

At a glance, its motorsport origins are unmistakable. The aerodynamically enhanced exterior features the innovative AIRPANEL air control system in the front apron; an automatically operable rear spoiler; and a patented underbody element that allows the vehicle to suck itself toward the road, particularly in the curves – making use of the so-called 'Venturi' effect.

Not only do these design elements significantly improve performance, they give the vehicle an athletic stance and make a striking first impression.

Cockpit control

Inside, the all new AMG GT 63 Coupé blends its sports car genes with luxurious details and advanced technologies.

Its new composite aluminium body structure allows a 2+2 seating configuration for the first time, enhancing space for drivers and passengers, and plenty of room for cargo.

The cockpit design puts the driver in full control of the coupé’s functionality. At the heart of the hyper-analogue interior is the 11.9-inch, portrait-shaped multimedia touchscreen with an intuitive MBUX infotainment system. It offers extensive AMG-specific content in five display styles and exclusive sports-car menu items. The AMG Performance menu, for example, gives the driver access to a wide range of vehicle data – from output, torque and lateral acceleration to tyre pressure and fluid temperatures.

Other notable interior features include adjustable seats with integrated headrests; AMG Performance steering wheel in double-spoke design in nappa leather; and AMG Performance steering wheel buttons to easily control driving functions and programs.

Peak performer

For the first time, the AMG GT 63 Coupé is equipped with fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. This intelligent technology distributes torque on the front and rear axle to ensure optimum traction and stability under almost any conditions. AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation works in tandem to make the drive even smoother.

Six AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and RACE – allow a driver to tailor their experience to different driving conditions. In Comfort mode, the AMG GT 63 Coupé glides over uneven roads, the adaptive air suspension soaking up bumps with ease. The nine-speed MCT transmission shifts imperceptibly, keeping the engine in its sweet spot for effortless acceleration.

But the open road is where this vehicle truly comes alive. Switching to Sport+ mode, the suspension tightens, steering becomes more direct and the exhaust note deepens to a menacing growl. Pressing down on the accelerator delivers an instantaneous response – the twin turbos spool up quickly, delivering smooth, responsive torque on demand.

On long stretches of highway, the car remains ever-composed, its all-wheel-drive system and advanced electronics working in harmony to keep the car planted firmly on the tarmac.

On windier roads, the optional carbon-ceramic disc brakes bite with reassuring certainty. This is also where the benefits of the car’s rear-wheel steering can be truly appreciated – at low speeds, the rear and front wheels pivot in opposite directions for improved agility. As you navigate through each turn, the active aerodynamics adjust in real time, providing additional downforce to keep the car sucked to the road. Then, when powering out of the bend, the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system seamlessly distributes torque between the front and rear axles, maximising traction as the car heads towards the next straight.

The all new AMG GT 63 Coupé achieves a remarkable balancing act between iconic sports car performance, the state-of-the-art design and technology expected of Mercedes-AMG, and the demands of everyday life. The result is an exhilarating driving experience that will keep you coming back for more.
