Powering the E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ is an innovative hybrid drivetrain featuring a high-torque in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine supplemented by a 120 kW electric motor. This powertrain fuses together performance and efficiency, leading to a 100 kilometre NEDC tested pure electric driving range. The hybrid system seamlessly integrates electric and combustion power, delivering instantaneous response and impressive fuel economy.

The powerful 3.0-litre engine delivers up to 330 kW and 560 Nm of torque, boosted by 480 Nm of torque from the electric motor for instantly accessible acceleration and cruising power on the open road.

Spin the drive mode knob on the AMG performance steering wheel and the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ can be driven electrically and tail pipe emission-free, with a 100 km (NEDC) tested range, thanks to the innovative high-voltage battery. The all new E 53 is equipped with an 11kW onboard AC charger with the option of a 60kW DC fast charger and the capacity for external charging of the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes.

Steering wheel-mounted shift paddles allow the drive to manually set a recuperation level up to 120kW in four levels, from no noticeable deceleration to almost one-pedal drive, using the accelerator pedal almost exclusively.
