Arriving soon Down Under, the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 4MATIC+ SUV and Coupé introduce a comprehensively reworked 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine that restores a defining element of the AMG driving experience. Producing 330kW and up to 640Nm of torque on overboost, the new powertrain delivers strong performance, sharp response and the unmistakable character that enthusiasts have long associated with Affalterbach.

Featuring twin charging via an exhaust-gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor, the engine has been engineered to deliver immediate response throughout the rev range while maintaining the strong high-rpm performance expected of an AMG model.
