The sporty, dynamic all new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé will soon arrive in Australia as a head-turning new entry in the performance coupé segment, combining cutting-edge technology, aerodynamic design and AMG-engineered performance. Advanced Mild-Hybrid Powertrain

Central to the all new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupé’s undeniable appeal is its revolutionary powertrain featuring a mild-hybrid six-cylinder in-line turbo engine equipped with twin turbochargers and electric auxiliary compressor to deliver the performance expected of an AMG-badged vehicle. This advanced technological configuration produces instant pick-up, boosted by the 48V integrated starter-generator (ISG) delivering power and torque on acceleration. The ISG also improves efficiency by recovering energy through recuperation, coasting with the engine off during deceleration

The AMG Speedshift TCT nine-speed automatic gearbox offers shorter shifting times and sharp, appealing intermediate throttle function and dynamic response from the steering-mounted paddles to deliver a true performance driving experience. Depending on the drive mode, it can execute sporty gear changes or comfortable, barely perceptible shift operations with ease – the multiple downshift function ensures rapid in-gear acceleration.

With the AMG Dynamic Plus pack, the character of the car can be changed, adjusting torque to the rear wheels for sharper exits through corners into the straights. The mild-hybrid engine delivers power output of up to 330kW and 560Nm of torque when called upon.

Interior: Sportiness Combined with Comfort and Space

The design concept of the all new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupé balances the agile sportiness of the C-Class with the prestige and spaciousness of the E-Class. An AMG Performance steering wheel evokes the sporty interior of a race car, while high quality interior materials include AMG leather seats with embossed logo on the headrest.

The intuitive MBUX multimedia system runs across 11.9 and 12.3-inch displays with AMG-specific menus and augmented reality navigation, while latest generation driver assist programs cover driver attention, steering, lane keeping, braking, blind spots, speed limits, and more.

Exterior: Classic Coupé Shape

A sleek, progressive exterior design is obvious from a first glance at the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupé’s classic proportions. The long bonnet and short overhangs are complemented by AMG-specific details seen in the radiator trim, front apron, side skirts, rear apron, spoiler lip, flared wheel arches and large, AMG light-alloy wheels. The sculpted hood, featuring distinctive power domes, are suggestive of the powerful capabilities residing beneath the surface.

The vehicle's track width is particularly impressive, widened by 58mm at the front and 75mm at the rear compared with the standard Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé model. The enhanced stance creates a more aggressive and commanding visual presence. Mercedes-AMG’s performance-oriented design language is also seen in the A-shaped radiator grille with vertical slats and the two outer air inlets with two cross slats.
