The sliding door on the left-hand side offers additional access to the vehicle. This makes loading and unloading and getting in and out of the vehicle faster and more flexible, for example in cramped traffic situations in the city centre.

Thanks to its generous load compartment aperture, the tailgate also allows bulky load items and luggage to be loaded and unloaded easily. The chrome-plated Mercedes star positioned at the centre of the tailgate enhances the rear-end design.

The optional double-wing rear doors can be opened as far as the vehicle side wall and locked in place with the help of magnetic retainers. When manoeuvring space is restricted, the vehicle can be reversed into position directly up against a loading ramp or to the load to be carried with the rear doors completely open

The roof railing painted black allows the transportation of additional cargo above the roof and gives the vehicle an individual look. The roof railing has a maximum load capacity of up to 100 kg and a height of 48 mm.

The optional LED light strip in the load compartment is located in a high position at the rear in such a manner that the load compartment is illuminated with a minimum of shadow. The LED technology enables low power consumption and impresses with a long service life.

Panelling in the upper segments of the sidewalls in the load compartment better protects the surfaces against damage. The panelling, made from wood fibreboard and painted grey, ensures a robust and uniform appearance and also improves acoustic comfort in the interior of the vehicle.

The wood floor is very robust and therefore particularly well-suited to the transportation of heavy cargo, in which a lot of weight has to be carried on a small area. For this, a repeatedly glued, 10 mm-thick screen printing base plate is laid and fixed on the floor of the load compartment.

If you wish to equip your load compartment with a hard-wearing and weight-saving flooring, the black plastic floor covering is precisely the right thing for you. The water-resistant, single-piece plastic floor protects the metal floor beneath it against damage.

The optional full-width partition on the C-pillar with window allows a view into the load compartment or a view to the rear in conjunction with windows in the tailgate or in the rear doors. It protects the passenger compartment against the cargo, shields it from the load compartment and keeps dirt, dust and noises out.

Thanks to the optional tie-down rails on the waistrail, half-height, bulky cargo can be fixed and therefore effectively secured against slipping or toppling over. This equally protects both the cargo and load compartment against damage.

With the Seat Comfort Package you can enjoy even more comfort, particularly on long journeys: both the driver's and the front passenger's seat feature seat cushion length adjustment as well as 4-way lumbar support. 

The optional 2-seater front passenger's bench seat offers an additional seat in the driver compartment. Each of the two places on the bench seat are equipped with a three-point seat belt, seat belt warning device and a height-adjustable head restraint. The bench has a removable single-piece seat cushion.

Thanks to the 3-passenger bench seat with folding outer seat the 1st row of seats of the passenger compartment can be used more flexibly. The folding outer seat with EASY-ENTRY function facilitates passage to the rear.

Active Lane Keeping Assist monitors the area in front of your vehicle and can prevent you from unintentionally leaving your lane. The system can guide you back into your lane by means of lane-correcting steering intervention and additionally warn you by giving you noticeable feedback on the steering wheel.

Traffic Sign Assist can support the driver by continually displaying the detected speed limit, any detected no-entry signs, no-overtaking restrictions as well as the lifting of these restrictions in the instrument cluster display and in the media display. The ATTENTION ASSIST system can help to prevent microsleep and therefore enhances your safety, in particular when driving at night and on long journeys. The system provides you with a visual and acoustic warning if it identifies typical signs of drowsiness or lack of attention, and suggests taking a break.

Headlamp Assist automatically switch the headlamps on or off, depending on light conditions. In particular when light conditions change rapidly, for example when driving through tunnels, the assistance system can help the driver and increase driving safety.

This system helps you to adjust the driving speed to the route. Before bends, junctions, roundabouts, toll stations and turning off, the vehicle automatically reduces speed in combination with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and then accelerates again.

Crosswind Assist can detect track offset caused by strong crosswind gusts in a timely manner and help the driver to stay in lane. A sudden track offset of the vehicle can cause inappropriate steering reactions on the part of the driver.

The TEMPMATIC semi-automatic air-conditioning system increases the feeling of well-being with a pleasant temperature in the vehicle interior and makes an important contribution towards driver fitness. The air-conditioning system regulates the interior temperature automatically.

The Parking Package with 360° camera and Active Parking Assist makes it easier for you to find a parking space, as well as to park and unpark. The 3D surround view makes the entire area around the vehicle visible, also from a bird's eye view and below the windowline.

The comfort suspension seat with luxury head restraint and armrest can be adjusted in eight ways to suit individual seating needs, enabling relaxed driving even on long journeys.

The 4-way lumbar support supports the vertebrae in the lumbar area and relieves back strain. The tyre pressure monitoring system checks the air pressure in all 4 wheels from 20 km/h. It can alert the driver to a loss of pressure in the tyres, increasing driving comfort and tyre life.

In the event of a collision, the airbag integrated in the steering wheel can protect the driver's head and chest. Thus the airbag provides a high level of protection which minimises both the risk and severity of potential head and injuries.

In the event of a collision, the front airbag for the front passenger can contribute to protecting the head and upper body of front-seat passengers. It thus provides a high degree of protection; reducing both the risk and severity of head, face and chest injuries.

The thorax-pelvis side airbag can help to protect the upper body and pelvic area of the driver or front passenger in the event of a side impact and reduce the risk of injury. The side airbag is installed in the backrest of the driver's or front passenger's seat.

The window airbags for driver, front passenger offer a higher level of protection against head and face injuries in a severe side-on collision. The window airbags are located in the roof lining on either side of the vehicle and, in the event of a detected collision, they inflate within milliseconds as an air cushion curtain in front of the side windows.
