It started with a few close mates, a few cold beverages, and a pinch of peckishness. Sure, there were snacks on hand, but they were just a bit… uninspiring. Conversation turned to what the ideal nibbles for the moment might be. Something with bold flavours, premium ingredients, unexpected combinations, and distinctive names and graphics that did the delicious treats justice.

“What began as banter soon became an action plan, and Sesh Snacks were born.”

A part of JC’s Quality Foods, this handcrafted snack brand makes its blends in small batches at a bespoke facility nestled near the Dandenongs outside Melbourne. The Sesh Snacks range features names and designs that showcase iconic slang and scenery. From the ‘You Beaut’ Campfire Mix to the 'Nah, Yeah’ Nippers, each product evokes a quintessentially Australian moment, flavour and cultural touchstone.

Choosing the blends was half the fun, says Jennifer Ogilvie-Grant, Marketing Manager at JC’s Quality Foods. “In the early stages of development, we brought the team together to experiment with flavours that go well with socialising and having fun with friends. It took a lot of snacking and chatting to get it right. Tough work, but someone’s got to do it!”

But creating a range of delicious products was only half the challenge. Getting them into the hands of hungry customers required dependable, versatile transport. And that’s where the Sesh Snack’s Sprinter comes in.

“This isn’t JC’s first Sprinter, so it was the obvious choice when we needed to upgrade. Our old Sprinter was reliable, comfortable and perfect for what we needed, so there was no need to shop around”, says Ogilvie-Grant. “Sprinters have a long wheelbase, and the flat floor fits a large amount of cartons. Our van allows us to deliver to customers who can’t accommodate a truck, so it’s the ideal vehicle to get in and out of stores efficiently and quickly.”

With their new Sprinter, Sesh Snacks wanted it to have just the right look. A wrap with bright bold colours and prominent pack shots from their product range did the job perfectly.

Ogilvie-Grant says the distinctive look of the Sesh Snacks Sprinter helps the brand stand out in a crowded market. “The snacking space is very competitive, but consumers are always on the lookout for new and interesting products. Nothing is too unconventional at Sesh Snacks – we’re all about creating a social experience and making something people will talk about. There’s been discussion about doing a super-hot chilli mix next, for those who dare. Watch this space to see what happens next!”
