Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC can maintain the distance to the vehicle ahead set by the driver.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC can help maintain a set distance to the vehicle ahead when driving on a highway or in stop-start traffic. The system accelerates the vehicle by itself and brakes with a maximum of half the vehicle's braking power in order to maintain a safe distance.

Active Brake Assist can help you to avoid accidents with other road users or to mitigate the consequences of accidents.

Active Brake Assist

Active Brake Assist can help you to avoid accidents with other road users in various situations or to mitigate the consequences of accidents. This includes, among others things, road users who are driving ahead of you, stationary, crossing or turning, as well as oncoming traffic during overtaking manoeuvres.

Blind Spot Assist can help prevent lane change accidents by providing visual and audible warnings.

Blind Spot Assist

Blind Spot Assist with Rear Cross Traffic Alert can use visual and acoustic warning signals to help avoid accidents when changing lane and reversing out of a parking space. If Blind Spot Assist detects a vehicle in the blind spot, it displays a warning with a red triangle in the corresponding exterior mirror.

Active Lane Keeping Assist can warn the driver both audibly and visually.

Active Lane Keeping Assist

Active Lane Keeping Assist monitors the area ahead of your vehicle and can help prevent you from unintentionally leaving your lane. The system can guide you back into your lane by means of a lane-corrective steering intervention and additionally warn you with haptic feedback on the steering wheel.

The ATTENTION ASSIST system can help to avoid momentary microsleep.

ATTENTION ASSIST

The ATTENTION ASSIST system can help to prevent microsleep and therefore enhances your safety, in particular when driving at night and on long journeys. The system provides you with a visual and acoustic warning if it identifies typical signs of drowsiness or lack of attention, and suggests taking a break.

This assistance system1 can give you visual and audible warnings to make you aware of road users in the blind spot on the co-driver's side.

BSIS Sideguard Assist

Able to detect things you can’t see, BSIS Sideguard Assist provides extended detection of road users in the blind spot on the passenger side of the vehicle. A red warning symbol lights up in the exterior mirror along with an acoustic signal when a risk of collision is detected.

Headlamp Assist automatically switch the headlamps on or off, depending on light conditions.

Headlamp Assist

Headlamp Assist automatically switches the headlamps on or off, depending on light conditions. In particular when light conditions change rapidly, for example when driving through tunnels, the assistance system can help the driver and increase driving safety.

Adaptive brake light

In the event of hard braking, the Adaptive Brake Light can warn following traffic and thus help prevent rear-end collisions. The flashing brake lights are activated at a speed of more than 50 km/h.

MULTIBEAM LED with Highbeam Assist Plus

MULTIBEAM LED with Highbeam Assist Plus

Highbeam Assist automatically switches the main beams on and off in line with the traffic situation and thereby relieves the driver of manually switching back and forth between main beams and dipped beams. The system is controlled by a camera behind the windscreen that permanently monitors the traffic situation in front of the vehicle. Optional equipment.

The tyre pressure monitoring system checks the pressures of all the tyres.

Tyre pressure system on front and rear axle, wireless

The tyre pressure monitoring system checks the pressure of all the tyres. It can alert the driver to a loss of pressure thus increasing driving safety and tyre life. The correct tyre pressure plays an important role in making steering and braking as safe and comfortable as possible.

Airbag front driver and co-driver's seat

Airbag front driver and co-driver's seat

In the event of a collision, the front airbag, or the double airbag if a co-driver bench seat is installed, can contribute to protecting the head and chest of the front occupants.

Window air bags for driver and co-driver

Window air bags for driver and co-driver

The window airbags for driver, front passenger offer a higher level of protection against head and face injuries in a severe side-on collision. The window airbags are located in the roof lining on either side of the vehicle and, in the event of a detected collision, they inflate within milliseconds as an air cushion curtain in front of the side windows.

Thorax-Pelvis side airbags for driver and co-driver

Thorax-Pelvis side airbags for driver and co-driver

In the event of a side impact, the sidebags located in the outer side of the seat backrest can contribute to protect the chest and pelvic area by deploying in the space between the door and driver or co-driver. They complement the front airbags to provide a high degree of protection and thus reduce both the risk and severity of injuries.
