Active Speed Limit Assist
Active Speed Limit Assist helps you to observe the stipulated speed limit, even in unclear situations. A camera detects speed limits,
which the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC automatically adopts and sets as the speed – for enhanced safety and comfort when driving.
*Only available as part of the Driving Assistance package.
Active Braking Assist
Active Braking Assist can help you to avoid rear-end collisions and accidents with crossing vehicles and pedestrians.
As well as providing distance and collision warnings, it boosts the braking force as appropriate to the given situation, if you do not brake firmly enough. If you do not react, it is able to initiate autonomous emergency braking.
Traffic Sign Assist
Keeping an eye out for you: thanks to intelligent linking of camera and map data, Traffic Sign Assist is not only able to detect speed limits,
overtaking restrictions and when they are lifted. It also shows no entry restrictions and warns you against incorrectly entering roads against the flow of traffic.
*Traffic Sign Assist is a driver assistance aid only and may not be accurate in all instances. The driver at all times remains solely responsible for monitoring the driving environment and observing all traffic and / or speed signs as well as complying with all applicable road rules. In particular, when accepting the displayed speed restriction when Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, cruise control, or the speed limiter is activated. It is the driver's responsibility to adjust the speed of the vehicle in accordance with the designated speed limits.
Night View Assist Plus
Night View Assist helps to enhance your safety in the dark. You can identify obstacles such as recovery vehicles or lost loads earlier.
The system can also warn you about people or large animals in the danger area and highlight them in the display.
*Night View Assist Plus available as optional equipment on all models as part of the Swarovski Headlamp Package.
PRE-SAFE® system
The PRE-SAFE® system makes use of the time prior to an impending accident in your best interests. A host of measures can reduce the strain and stress to which you are exposed.
The innovative PRE-SAFE® Sound feature generates a noise from the speakers which is able to trigger a natural protective reflex: This can protect the inner ear by damping the accident noise.
