    With the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 4MATIC+ and the even more powerful S-model, a mid-size SUV is now available with the powerful eight-cylinder twin turbo engine for the first time. For Mercedes-AMG this is yet another milestone in the high-performance SUV segment.

    Making an SUV extremely sporty and dynamic while retaining excellent handling stability is no easy task. Mercedes-AMG has devoted great passion and many years of SUV expertise to the development of these very special vehicles. The result is an SUV that is highly precise and agile to drive, and also capable of fast lap times on the racetrack if required.

    The expressive front section is an eye-catching feature of the exterior design: the new GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ is the first Mercedes-AMG Performance model to feature the Panamericana grille. This design statement reiterates the consistent, dynamic principle of the new performance SUV. The wide front apron in a jet-wing design and the large front splitter impressively emphasise the power of the new models. Wider wheel arch claddings at the front and rear likewise accentuate the dynamic appearance.

    The new side sill trim panels visually lower the SUV and stretch its overall lines. Inserts in matt iridium silver are a distinguishing feature of the S-variant. The muscular rear end is dominated by the wide rear apron and the diffuser in a grained black finish. The trim on the diffuser face of the S-variant is in matt iridium silver. Two rectangular twin tailpipes in highly polished chrome finish off the exhaust system.

    The Edition 1 special model is the flagship of the GLC fleet with an exclusive combination of appointments. The Night Package in high-gloss black accentuates the motorsport-inspired appearance of the Edition 1. The sport stripes on the vehicle sides are in yellow. The matt black 21-inch forged wheels in a cross-spoke design have yellow or high-sheen rim flanges as highlights. The Aerodynamics Package also takes its inspiration from motorsport.

    The interior underlines the leadership aspirations of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 4MATIC+ and Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ models. As standard equipment, the driver and front passenger are held in place by sports seats in ARTICO man-made leather combined with DINAMICA microfibre. The dashboard is likewise in black ARTICO man-made leather with contrasting topstitching. Aluminium trim accentuates the high-quality impression.

    The S-variant features an even more extensive equipment package, for example including the AMG Performance steering wheel in black nappa leather/DINAMICA microfibre, the AMG badge in the front head restraints in conjunction with a leather interior, and the AMG instrument cluster with red trim.

    The motorsport feeling of the Edition 1's exterior is continued in the interior. The sports seats are upholstered in black nappa leather, with yellow contrasting topstitching in the model-specific diamond pattern. Black nappa leather with yellow contrasting topstitching also embellishes the door centre panels, armrests and centre console. There are further yellow highlights in the instrument cluster, floor mats and the AMG Performance Steering Wheel in DINAMICA microfibre with a flattened lower section and 12 o'clock marking. There is also AMG matt carbon-fibre/light-tone aluminium trim with a longitudinal grain. The AMG Performance Seat with a diamond-pattern design and yellow contrasting topstitching is also exclusively available for the Edition 1 (standard for the S-model with a corresponding exterior).

    For the first time, a mid-size SUV is now also available with the powerful eight-cylinder biturbo engine in two output versions. This is the AMG 4.0-litre V8 engine with 375 kW (510 hp) for the S-variant. The performance SUVs features air suspension with Adaptive Damping System, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with fully variable torque distribution, a rear-axle differential and a high-performance brake system. AMG DYNAMIC SELECT guarantees incomparable handling: benefit from four drive programs, ranging from comfortable and efficient to extremely sporty. Easy to guess which setting will take you to the finishing line first.

    Driving mode "RACE" is configured for racetrack performance (only available for the Mercedes-AMG S-model). It impresses with the greatest possible sportiness in terms of responsiveness, engine speed and shift times.
