Electronic AMG locking differential.
The electronically controlled AMG locking differential provides improved traction in every driving situation, especially when the driver adopts a sporty driving style. This enables improved acceleration from corners.
AMG RIDE CONTROL+
The GT-specific, adapted AMG air suspension system practically combines two suspension systems in one. From comfortable to sporty: strong performance in any situation.
AMG SPEEDSHIFT 9-speed
Ideal for a particularly dynamic driving style. Fast, sporty gear-changing or barely noticeable shift operations according to the selected driving mode:
Thanks to 9 gears the engine is almost always within the ideal speed range.
AMG rear axle steering
More agility: the rear axle steers in the opposite direction up to a speed of 100 km/h to virtually cut the wheelbase. More safety: from a speed of 100 km/h it steers in the same direction and thus virtually extends the wheelbase.

4MATIC+
The all-wheel drive variably links the rear axle to the front axle and thus creating ideal torque distribution. This enables gradually switching over between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.

AMG 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine
The 4.0-litre V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG boasts explosive power delivery combined with very finely controllable power output. The twin-scroll turbochargers are positioned between the cylinder heads ("hot inner-V") for better response. Cylinder shutoff when power demand is low reduces fuel consumption.

Systematically electrified for an outstanding driving experience – the Integrated Starter-Alternator boosts and recovers energy, while the 48 V onboard electrical system supplies the power consumers and the auxiliary compressor provides torque from just above idle speed. A boon: the smooth running of the six cylinders arranged in line.
