Eye-catching features at the sporty, wide rear end include the two twin tailpipe trims measuring 90 mm in diameter. And the distinctive diffuser look with four vertical fins. The striking design is completed by the AMG spoiler lip on the roof spoiler finished in the body colour.

Optional 48.3 cm (19-inch) cross-spoke forged wheels and red-painted brake callipers round off the powerful package. After all, the power of the newly developed AMG 4-cylinder turbocharged engine needs to be applied to the road as effectively as possible.

The MBUX multimedia system with instrument cluster, featuring three different display designs including Supersport mode with a large rev counter, is made for performance. The AMG TRACK PACE virtual race engineer is included as standard in the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ with hard-disc navigation and Widescreen Cockpit. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G transmission is your ideal partner for a sporty driving style. The AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension is your key to superior performance in everyday driving and on the race track. The adaptive damping provides a broad range between a comfortable and very sporty setup. You choose between Comfort, Sport or Sport+ with only one operating procedure and the suspension characteristics change immediately.

As the most powerful series-produced 4-cylinder engine with twin scroll turbocharging, the newly developed high-tech power pack continues in the tradition of its predecessor. It is a true performance champion with 310 kW (421 hp) and 500 Nm, which accelerates the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It takes the larger AMG high-performance brakes with red-painted calipers to tame this sort of power.

The new AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with AMG TORQUE CONTROL enables motorsport-like performance. Two separately acting clutches on the rear axle allow fully variable torque distribution to each of the rear wheels exactly as required. This is particularly noticeable in the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ when the standard-fit Drift mode is selected.

The RACE START function gives you optimal acceleration from a standing start. The partial ignition interruption during upshifts and automatic double declutching during downshifts ensure an emotional sound, especially in S+ mode.
