These include special test processes that simulate real-life challenges in road traffic as well as material tests using cutting-edge X-ray equipment.
High-sheen wheels undergo additional tests such as exposure to highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day alternating climate programme. The wheels can only be included in the range of genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels once they have passed all of the tests.
Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tyres, hub caps, decorative valve caps, wheel bolts or rim locks.
