Guest umbrella

The black guest umbrella is the ideal companion on rainy days. The 8-part umbrella has a pleasant plastic handle in an iconic design and a ventilation cover made from durable polyester (recycled). For added comfort the umbrella with a 14 mm aluminium shaft opens automatically with the help of the black release button, whilst its windproof feature offers more stability in gusts of wind. Furthermore, the guest umbrella features a matching case as well as nickel points. The elegant design is rounded off by an inserted 3D star badge made from plastic on the front of the umbrella handle as well as a white Mercedes star print.

The classic dyeing process for textiles is identical for fabrics for umbrella covers and for the production of clothing. First, the required fibres are produced and woven into the finished fabric. Only in a second step is the finished fabric dyed using large quantities of fresh water, chemicals and energy, whereby the colour pigments are merely fixed to the fibre surface. The fabric then has to be dried again and the contaminated water has to be laboriously recycled or cleaned. We use a granulate made from recycled plastic waste as the basis for our waterSAVE® coverings. The fibre is already completely dyed through during the actual production process (i.e. when the yarn is spun). Almost no water is required, additional, harmful chemicals can be largely dispensed with, and the drying time otherwise required in machines with high energy consumption is also eliminated.
