Bad weather? There's no such thing! This umbrella with an aluminium shaft and cover made from recycled plastics can be automatically opened via a black release button, ensuring protection against the wet at the touch of a button. A plastic hook handle in an iconic design with an inserted silver-coloured 3D star badge not only provides a visual highlight, but also ensures the umbrella has a pleasant and secure grip. A white Mercedes star print rounds off the design of the umbrella. Even stronger winds will struggle to topple this umbrella. with its windproof feature, inspiring with resilience and stability.

The small, subtle difference
The classic dyeing process for textiles is identical both for fabrics for umbrella covers and for the production of clothing. First, the required fibres are produced and woven into the finished fabric. Only in a second step is the finished fabric dyed using large quantities of fresh water, chemicals and energy, whereby the colour pigments are merely fixed to the fibre surface. The fabric then has to be dried again and the contaminated water has to be laboriously recycled or cleaned.

We use a granulate made from recycled plastic waste as the basis for our waterSAVE® coverings. The fibre is already completely dyed through during the actual production process (i.e. when the yarn is spun). Almost no water is required, additional, harmful chemicals can be largely dispensed with, and the drying time otherwise required in machines with high energy consumption is also eliminated.
