In 1968, the "new generation" of the Mercedes-Benz W 114/W 115 was unveiled to the world and began to be hugely loved.
Internally referred to as the W 114/W 115 model series, this initial lineup consisted of a total of six models, ranging from the 200 D with a 55 hp 4-cylinder diesel engine to the 250 topped with a 130 hp 6-cylinder carburetor engine. The 250 model, in particular, was equipped with a double bumper, which made it a clear visual differentiator from the rest of the lower models.
