The outstanding reliability and quality of the Mercedes-Benz Vito Van was evident through BSH Home Appliances’ recent decision to extend the replacement cycle for its Vitos to a full five years.
“We’ve been using Vitos for nine years now and started with a three year replacement program,” said BSH’s Fleet Administrator, Mary Ann Moodley.
After being consistently impressed by the Vito’s value, the company insisted on increasing the contract to five years “as the vans can certainly withstand the work”, said Ms Moodley.
BSH Home Appliances is a national company responsible for the marketing, distribution and after-sales service of Bosch, Siemens, Neff and Gaggenau home appliances. The business has 180 employees supported by a fleet of 18 Vito vans carrying out service work nationwide.
The vans, which average between 30,000 – 40,000 kilometres a year, are fitted with comprehensive shelving units to carry the extensive range of spare parts and tools needed by BSH technicians.
With BSH’s reputation, and that of its portfolio of brands, closely entwined with its excellent customer service levels; the company isn’t interested in cutting corners.
“Previously we had smaller vans which proved difficult when moving large appliances like washing machines, however when considering a larger van, the Vito really suited our requirements,” Ms Moodley explained.
“We recently bought another 10 for use across Australia, and while we again looked at the market we found the Vito was still the best option for us,” Ms Moodley stated. Furthermore the Fleet Administrator expressed her delight with the brand, explaining that the “Mercedes-Benz team were very helpful throughout the process”.
